Account Settings

Changing Settings

Nagios Fusion allows individual users to manage some of their own account settings and preferences, including: passwords, name, email, language, date and format, timezone, along with automatic logins. In order to gain access to your account settings, simply click on your username in the upper right hand section of the Nagios Fusion window.

Account Preferences

When you click on your username, you're brought directly to your Account Information. You can change the values on this page to update your personal account settings and preferences. Once you've changed the values accordingly, press the 'Update Information' button at the bottom of the form.

Auto Login Settings

While on your Account Information page, you also have a Manage Automatic Logins section available to you.

You use this section to manage which Fused Servers you'd like to automically login to. Alternatively, you can simply enter a username and password combination to save, and leave Enable automatic login unchecked - this will allow you to select Logging in to that server by manually entering your credentials each time, or choosing an option to login with the saved credentials. Once you've filled out a few automatic logins, you can click 'Update Information' and they take immediate effect. You can see this by hovering your mouse over the 'Servers' menu item along the top navigation bar. The popup will indicate which servers are automatically logged in with a checkbox next to their names, or if you saved the credentials for that server but did not elect to Enable automatic login you'll notice an icon that when hovered over says 'Login with saved credentials'.

Home Page Settings

While on your Account Information page, you'll notice a new navigation menu on the left hand side. You should have two options, one is for the page you're on currently, and the other will be 'Home Page Settings'. If you select Home Page Settings, you're brought to a page that allows you to customize your Home Page Title and Destination. These options will only be available to you if your Nagios Administrator has elected for a non-administrator to change the values, or if you yourself are an Administrator.

The Home Page Title allows you to either use the default value, or set your own custom value.

The Home Page Destination allows you to choose what your landing page is when you login to Nagios Fusion. You can select a few options here:

  • Default: Whatever the Nagios Administrator has selected to be the default Fusion landing page.
  • Static Home Page: This is the initial default landing page. It is a pre-arranged dashboard with some helpful information.
  • Home Dashboard: This selection will display your Home Dashboard whenever you login to Nagios Fusion.
  • Custom Destination: This allows you to enter a custom URL as your initial landing when you login. Be careful, as some URLs will block pages whose origins are not the same as theirs.
  • Dashboard List: You can select any of your existing dashboards to be your landing page as well.
